The NSRA Beer Street Journal Grand National Series headed to the penultimate race of the regular season at Martinsville with intense points battle under way. Adam Pettet reclaimed the points lead at iRacing Superspeedway, but the Simbox Motorsports 971 machine of Nate Mowrer came into the race with a fast race car.

Ryan Sizemore, fresh off a win at iRacing Superspeedway, would get his first pole of the season and lead the first 44 laps of the race. That is when Nate Mowrer would overtake the Sizemore Motorsports number 8 car and wouldn't look back from there. 11 cautions in the race kept the field bunched up through a majority of the race, creating great side by side battles. Nate Mowrer defended the race lead from Brock Whitehead who came up just short of his first career NSRA win. Stan Hauseman and Jason Gracias also picked up a lap lead each through pit stop cycles.
Drivers also were not afraid to use the bumper to push people out of the way. A clear sign of the aggression picking up as the series prepares for the regular season finale at the Milwaukee mile in two weeks (following an off week on the August 25th). Make sure to tune to WRN to see who will win the regular season, and who will make the NSRA Beer Street Journal Playoffs!
