Pettet Breaks Eight Race Winless Streak at Chicagoland

Drama filled does not begin to describe the NSRA Beer Street Journal Grand National Series - Beer Street Journal 150 at Chicagoland this most recent Thursday night. Adam Pettet left Chicago with his fifth win of the season, tying Nate Mowrer for the most wins of the 2022 season. Pettet started the race from the pole, his fourth of the season, and would keep the AnythingEC.com car near the front of the field for the duration of the 100-lap event.

The race went caution free until lap 77 when Tom Lester spun out of turn four. Two more yellow flags would follow, including one involving Philip Scott who came into Chicagoland third in Beer Street Journal Playoff standings. The race looked to be a three-car battle, with Adam Pettet, Nate Mowrer, and Jason Gracias racing hard for the win in the closing laps. However, disaster struck Mowrer and Gracias when the two made contact fighting for 2nd. Pettet, who was leading at the time, would go on to fend of Justin White and Josh Soble on the final restart to pick up the win.
