Pettet Captures 2nd Win in the AnythingEC.com 120 at Kansas

It seemed fitting that Adam Pettet, driver of the AnythingEC number 17 machine, would pick up the win in his sponsor's race at Kansas in race 5 of the Beer Street Journal Grand National Series season. He goes two-for-two on mile and halves in the 2022 season, saying in his post-race interview "[mile and a half tracks] fit my driving style really well. They are definitely my favorites". Pettet would also go on to lead the most laps in the race (29) on route to victory.

Pettet wouldn't get his 3rd pole of the season, however, he would start 6th. It was Matt Donnelly, driver of the number 41 car, picking up his first pole of the season, beating his previous best start of 7th at Homestead-Miami. Unfortunately for Donnelly, Jason Gracias would be able to take the lead from the 41 through turns 1 and 2 and Donnelly would struggle, finishing in 24th. The defending series champion Gracias would go on to lead 21 laps in the race on-route to a 2nd place finish, his second in 3 starts.

Nate Mowrer would also clock 21 laps lead in the AnythingEC.com 120, but last weeks race winner at Iowa would have to settle for a 3rd place finish. Jeff Price also came home with a great 4th place finish. The Sim Shots Racing driver breaks a streak that saw a best finish of 19th through his 2 previous starts in the 2022 season. He would also lead 4 laps in the race. Doug Neal and Jason Schue would also both lead laps during the 80 lap event.

Adam Pettet holds a 29 point lead over Sim Box Racing's Nate Mowrer after the AnythingEC 120. The Beer Street Journal Grand National Series has an off week on May 19th, but returns the 26th to the 2 mile racetrack of Michigan.
