Phillip Scott came into race number eight of the NSRA Beer Street Journal Grand National Series season 2nd in points, with the points leader Adam Pettet absent from the event. He certainly took advantage of Pettet's absence, as Scott would pick up the pole and lead 75 of the 90 laps on route to victory.

Phillip Scott (99) leads the field to green at Darlington. Noah Owens (88) started outside pole in 2nd
Phillip Scott has now won at Rockingham and Darlington, two very unique racetracks. He said in his post-race interview "I primarily do road racing on iRacing, so I think the fact that every corner is different and there is different characteristics... I can really get a feel for the track". With the win tonight, TNR (Total Nonstop Racing) drivers account for 5 of the 8 race winners so far in the season.
Tonight also presented a strong showing for Simbox Motorsports, with Justin White and Nate Mower finishing 2nd and 3rd in the Darlington race. White seemed like the main competition for Phillip Scott in the race, Trey Whited was also able to challenge Scott without success in the early laps. White would pass Scott under green-flag right before the pit cycle midway through the race, but waited several laps after Scott to pit, which cost him the lead.
Next week is Talladega, a wildcard track where anybody has a chance to win. Tune in June 16th at 9 pm (est) on WRN to see who will walk away victorious.
