Talladega is always a track that brings pure chaos and excitement. The Stay Tuned Sports 160 at Talladega delivered on this excitement for the Beer Street Journal Grand National Series. The race came down to a Beer Street Journal last-call which saw Trey Whitehead grab his first career win in the series. It was only Whitehead's second top 5 finish of the season and he lead his first career laps in the event.

The race ran mostly green flag, with only two cautions in the 64 laps. Justin White (2) lead the most laps of the event with 11, followed close behind with points leader Adam Pettet who lead 10. Christopher Darling, Martin Plute, Doug Neal, Mike Tellier, Philip Scott Dominic Tesoro, Ryan Sizemore, Brock Whitehead, Ira Kohlhaas, Jeremy Richmond, Sam Kohlhaas, and Noah Owens all also lead laps in the race.
Green-flag pitstops around lap 30 saw many cars involved in incidents coming down pit road, which resulted in the field getting more spread out for a handful of laps. The race saw plenty of aggressive 2 and 3 wide, even at times 4 wide racing. On top of T. Whitehead's first win, Sam Kohlhaas scored his first career pole, beating a previous best start of 10th at Gateway.
The NSRA Beer Street Journal Grand National Series is off next Thursday (June 23rd), but will return June 30th for the monster-mile of Dover, a track which always puts on great racing. Make sure to tune into WRN live at 9 pm (est) June 30th for all of the NSRA BSJ GNS action!
